Best Performances: Double Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Gold medal in the 100m and 4x100m relay at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, in 2006. Silver medallist in 4x100m at the IAAF World Championships in Osaka, Japan, in 2007.

Brooks represented Jamaica at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and along with Shelly-Ann Fraser, Aleen Bailey and Veronica Campbell-Brown helped them to the final. However, after Brooks and Bailey were replaced for the final, Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart, who took their places, failed to complete the second changeover. Brooks, formerly of Manchester High, has qualified for the individual 100m at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics after gaining an automatic qualifying place at the National Championships.
